Job Title: Bioinformatics Specialist - Single Cell and Spatial Data Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Bioinformatics Specialist to join our team at Umbilical Life. As a specialist in single-cell and spatial data analysis, you will play a key role in leading our client-facing work and presenting technical details and data analysis to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical consultation and guidance on custom data analytics.
  • Lead end-to-end Bioinformatics support for Single-cell and Spatial Data projects.
  • Perform cell segmentation using per-pixel, machine learning, or molecular coordinate-based methods.
  • Integrate imaging data with Visium and scRNAseq data.
  • Cross-platform spatial data integration using Xenium, CosMx, MERSCOPE, and spatial proteomics.
  • Conduct advanced spatial analysis, including coexpression, network, cell-cell communication, and microenvironment analysis.
  • Collaborate on single-cell spatial transcriptomics and spatial proteomics projects.

Requirements:

  • PhD or MSC with experience in end-to-end bioinformatics development and analysis.
  • Highly experienced in single-cell and spatial data technologies, with a minimum of 2 technologies listed above.
  • Candidates with experience in client-facing roles will be preferred.
  • Candidates with experience in single-cell multiplexed spatially resolved proteomics will be preferred.

This is an individual contributor and highly autonomous role, requiring a high level of expertise in bioinformatics. The role can be done predominantly remotely with monthly trips onsite or as needed.
