Trinity Health Michigan is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team in an inpatient setting. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing daily pharmaceutical supportive services to our patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist pharmacists with filling, processing, and dispensing medications, including re-packaging and labeling medication.
- Maintain cleanliness and aseptic technique while preparing medications, including intravenous admixtures.
- Deliver controlled substances and other medications to nursing units' automated medication dispensing cabinets.
- Support the drug inventory process, including rotation and restocking of drug dispensing areas.
- Answer phones and direct calls to the proper personnel, determining when phone calls or emergency situations need to be referred to a pharmacist.
- Complete nursing unit inspections and restock crash cart trays and OCMCA boxes as required.
- Fills controlled substance orders and reconciles discrepancies on a daily basis.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician educational program and/or completion of an Associate's Degree preferred.
- Previous pharmacy experience, hospital-based pharmacy experience preferred.
- Licensure in the State of Michigan is required.
