Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician Trainee to join our team at Trinity Health. As a Pharmacy Technician Trainee, you will assist in the preparation and distribution of medication orders, maintain accurate records, and provide excellent customer service to patients and medical professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and packaging of medication orders under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist or Licensed Pharmacy Technician.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of medication inventory, orders, and patient information.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and medical professionals, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Participate in the training program, completing didactic learning modules, quizzes, and experiential learning activities as assigned.
  • Contribute to the effective and efficient operation of the pharmacy department, adhering to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Enrollment in Trinity Health's ASHP Pharmacy Technician training program.
  • Basic aptitude and math skills, good written and verbal communication.
  • State-dependent licensure requirements - application for temporary license upon hire, if required by state board of pharmacy.
  • Ability to use standard desktop and Windows-based computer systems, including email, e-learning, intranet, and computer navigation.
