Certified Medical Assistant at Sherburne Co Jail RMA or CMA Cert Required

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at Sherburne County Jail. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in patient care by gathering essential information during the clinical process under the supervision of Registered Nurses.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with RNs and healthcare staff to ensure the delivery of quality patient care.
- Gather patient history, verify medications, and make appropriate referrals for follow-up.
- Adhere to designated work schedules and respond effectively to codes or patient crises.
- Prioritize infection control techniques and principles to contribute to the emotional and physical comfort and safety of patients.
- Maintain working areas, supplies, and equipment, and attend mandatory staff meetings/training to uphold a high standard of healthcare delivery and professional development.
- Successful completion of an accredited CMA course.
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience preferred.
- Currently certified as a Medical Assistant in the State if certification is required by the State or the facility.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification if required.
