Position Overview: This role is essential in facilitating the advancement of infrastructure capital improvement initiatives across multiple educational institutions.

The projects span the entire district and are orchestrated by the infrastructure team, with execution handled by the project team. The primary focus will be on critical infrastructure elements including Hydronic Lines, Domestic Water, Fire Water, Irrigation, Sewer, Storm Drain, Natural Gas, Electrical Distribution, Electrical Service, Telecommunications, Site Lighting, Campus Roads, and Surface Area Parking Lots.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and coordination of the utility master plan, ensuring the accuracy of installations for both new and existing projects through field verification.
  • Plan, organize, and report on the performance of construction projects to the infrastructure team.
  • Identify potential risks and contribute to the formulation of risk mitigation strategies.
  • Support the creation and presentation of project data to various stakeholder groups in a clear and concise manner.
  • Provide technical and engineering assistance to the Program Management Office, including Project Managers and Construction Managers.
  • Collaborate with surveying, testing, and inspection personnel.

Document the progress of construction activities, including demolition, rehabilitation, alterations, additions, or repairs, while maintaining logs of photographs, daily reports, and notes as necessary.

Assist in the preparation of written materials such as correspondence, reports, procedures, and guidelines.

Help coordinate and document meeting minutes with project stakeholders.

Support the review of submittal processes and monthly billing statements.

This position will necessitate site visits to various locations.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in managing infrastructure construction projects.
  • Experience within a substantial capital improvement program and knowledge of applicable public codes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Business, Construction Management, Urban Planning, or a related field.

Additional qualifying experience exceeding the minimum requirements may be considered in lieu of the educational requirements on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM).
  • Familiarity with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified projects and/or the Collaborative for High Performing Schools (CHPS).
  • Knowledge of the Division of the State Architect (DSA) construction/design process.

Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year
