Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Internal Medicine team at Animas Surgical Hospital. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care, working under the direction of our Internal Medicine physicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent patient care, ensuring optimal well-being, health, and safety of our patients.
  • Perform a wide range of patient care activities, including vital sign measurements, administering medications, and conducting EKGs.
  • Assist with front office duties, scheduling testing and patient appointments.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited vocational school of practical nursing.
  • Current licensure in the state where the hospital is located as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • One year of recent experience in a primary care setting, preferably in Internal Medicine.
  • One year of clinical healthcare experience.
Working Conditions

The LPN will work in a fast-paced clinical environment, requiring frequent bending, reaching, and lifting of patients and equipment. The position may involve exposure to environmental hazards, such as chemicals and infectious materials.

The successful candidate will be required to maintain up-to-date immunizations and vaccinations, as per the hospital's policy.
