Job Title: Field IT Specialist

Join bioMerieux Inc. as a Field IT Specialist and play a critical role in supporting our customers in the East Central territory. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining bioMerieux middleware solutions, providing technical assistance and training to customers, and ensuring seamless integration with Laboratory Information Systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and maintain bioMerieux middleware solutions, including coordination of installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Provide technical assistance and training to customers, including on-site and remote support.
  • Ensure seamless integration with Laboratory Information Systems, including LIS interfaces and data management software.
  • Contribute to financial goals of Customer Support Operations by promoting value-added projects and services.
  • Travel extensively throughout the East Central territory, with an average of 65-80% overnight stays.
Requirements:
  • BS in Medical Technology, Information Technology, Information System, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 2+ years' experience in support of LIS interfaces, LIS/LIMS administrator, networking support, servers, software applications, hardware, middleware, and computers.
  • 2+ years' experience in end-user support, with a focus on resolving customer networking, server, and/or LIS problems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with presentation skills for critical customer meetings.
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Windows and MS Office, Project Management software, host/remote communications, Hypervisor, and network systems.
