Role Overview:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for delivering safe and effective patient care through various nursing interventions. The LPN will perform essential clinical and administrative tasks related to both direct and indirect patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care and assist in patient management under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, Physician, Physician Assistant, or Advanced Practice Nurse.
  • Execute the care plan by delivering fundamental nursing services in alignment with the LPN scope of practice.
  • Conduct phlebotomy procedures as required.
  • Contribute to the care plan by collaborating with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments, utilizing appropriate medical equipment as necessary, within the scope of practice.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Completion of an accredited LPN program.

Licensure and Certifications:

  • Current state licensure as an LPN or an LPN applicant.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (preferred but not mandatory).

Experience:

  • Minimum of one year of clinical patient care experience in an acute care environment, long-term care facility, or physician practice (preferred but not mandatory).

Training Requirements:

  • EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) training (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Completion of Basic Arrhythmia course with a passing grade (required for Telemetry/Remote Telemetry units).
