Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Obstetrics and Gynecology team at Cambridge Health Alliance. As a key member of our ambulatory care team, you will provide high-quality patient-centered care to women of all ages in a culturally competent environment.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct patient-centered histories and obtain initial physical data, including vital signs and weight.
  • Utilize evidence-based ambulatory care nursing interventions during clinical visits, telephone encounters, and electronic communications.
  • Administer medications and immunizations according to hospital policy and procedure.
  • Collect and process specimens for testing and perform routine laboratory tests.
  • Monitor and maintain lab equipment, supplies, and quality control measures.
  • Provide age-appropriate care in a compassionate and culturally sensitive manner.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of the interdisciplinary plan of care.
  • Document patient information and outcomes in accordance with CHA standards.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited licensed practical nursing program.
  • Current MA LPN licensure.
  • Maintains current Basic Life Support certification.
  • Knowledge of a second language preferred.
