Position Overview:

As a Mechanical Systems Support Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation of critical mechanical systems within our facilities. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform all tasks outlined in the technician role for mechanical systems.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) for planned maintenance activities in critical environments.
  • Conduct daily operational checks on electrical equipment, documenting readings such as temperatures and voltages.
  • Follow established procedures for both planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
  • Execute preventative maintenance on fire alarm systems.
  • Assist in diagnosing and repairing instrument sensors and calibration processes.
  • Oversee quarterly and annual maintenance of generator systems.
  • Maintain rooftop HVAC units, including refrigeration recovery, requiring appropriate licensing.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on industrial chillers.
  • Manage fire pump and fire alarm system maintenance, with a preference for candidates with data center experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possession of an EPA Refrigerant License.

Required Qualifications:

  • All candidates must possess OSHA or OSHA-approved NFPA 70E Certification.
  • Experience with mechanical systems in high-availability environments such as data centers, hospitals, or manufacturing facilities.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent educational background.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in technical fields.
  • Able to work flexible schedules, including 12-hour shifts.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
