Mental Health Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Technician to join our team at Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital and Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital at Bethany. As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing direct care and supervision to residents, ensuring their safety and well-being, and promoting their recovery.
Responsibilities- Provide direct care and supervision to residents, including assistance with daily living activities and medication management.
- Assist in providing recreational and therapeutic activities for residents, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
- Transport residents to and from medical appointments and ensure scheduled programming is carried out.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans for residents.
- Act as a role model for residents, demonstrating effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or related field preferred.
- Six (6) months to one (1) year of experience working with a psychiatric in-patient population preferred.
- Must be able to work 8 hours a day, standing and walking for prolonged periods.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Successfully complete a drug test.
- Successfully pass a national background check.
- Must possess a valid Driver's License.
- Physical agility to manage patients.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 40 pounds.
- Strong computer skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong leadership skills.
