About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Technician to join our team at Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital and Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital at Bethany. As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing direct care and supervision to residents, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care and supervision to residents, including assistance with daily living activities and medication management.
  • Assist residents with learning and practicing appropriate hygiene and self-help skills.
  • Act as a role model for residents, demonstrating effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Assist in providing recreational and therapeutic activities for residents.
  • Transport residents to and from medical appointments and ensure scheduled programming is carried out.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or related field preferred.
  • Six (6) months to one (1) year of experience working with a psychiatric in-patient population preferred.
  • Must be able to work 8 hours a day, standing and walking for prolonged periods.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Successfully complete a drug test.
  • Successfully pass a national background check.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License.
  • Physical agility to manage patients.
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Strong Computer skills.
  • Excellent Communication skills.
  • Strong Leadership skills.
