Objective:

Essential Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience in facility management is essential.

• Experience in a senior living environment is advantageous.

• Prior supervisory experience in a similar field is preferred.

• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Word and Excel.

• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.

• Skilled in plumbing, electrical work, painting, carpentry, and general repairs.

• Proficient in reading, understanding, writing, and speaking English to interpret plans and communicate effectively with residents and staff.

• Must fulfill all health-related requirements for state licensure.

• Current CPR/First Aid certification is required.

• Valid Food Handlers certification is necessary.

• Must maintain annual Continuing Education Credits.

• A valid state driver's license and a clean driving record are required.

• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Subject to pre-employment screening, including background checks and physical examinations.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance Oversight

• Develop and manage a proactive maintenance schedule for all building systems, including HVAC, fire safety systems, plumbing, and landscaping.

• Negotiate and manage contracts with service providers, assessing their performance and assisting in contract development.

• Ensure that departmental objectives are met within budgetary constraints.

• Maintain strong relationships with all service vendors.

• Ensure adequate inventory of maintenance supplies for efficient operations.

• Oversee the Engineering Department budget, ensuring project completion within financial guidelines.

• Ensure timely completion of work orders for maintenance in resident apartments.

• Assess major repair needs and report findings to the management team.

Safety Management

• Develop and manage a comprehensive Community Safety Program, including emergency drills and safety training.

• Conduct training for team members related to safety protocols and maintain training records.

• Chair the Community Safety Committee, organizing meetings and maintaining documentation.

• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations at the state and federal levels.

• Implement an inspection program for cleanliness, safety, and code compliance.

Team Management

• Responsible for recruiting, training, supervising, and evaluating the Maintenance and Housekeeping teams.

• Participate in the Community Management Team and perform additional management duties as required.

Housekeeping and Laundry Oversight

• Supervise housekeeping operations to ensure cleanliness in all community areas.

• Develop quality assurance processes for resident laundry services.

• Assist in the recruitment, training, and evaluation of housekeeping and laundry staff.

Additional Responsibilities

• Attend all mandatory team meetings and training sessions.

• Uphold Residents' Rights as defined by regulations and company policies.

• Support and adhere to all company policies and service philosophies.

• Maintain reliable attendance and perform other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $84,000 - $90,000 annually
