Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect buses to identify malfunctions and necessary repairs, informing service supervisors accordingly.
- Conduct complex diagnostics, testing, repairs, rebuilding, and replacements as required, including diesel, gas, and propane engines, transmissions, brake systems, steering, suspension, cooling systems, wheelchair lifts, electrical systems, and more.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on vehicles in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and company policies.
- Provide guidance and support to fellow technicians on complex repairs, inspecting completed work and offering mechanical assistance and training as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, supplemented by relevant technical courses and experience, or an equivalent combination of education and training.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience with diesel engines, preferably with International and/or Cummins engines.
- At least two (2) years of experience with airbrakes.
- Proficiency in web-based programs, Microsoft Office Suite, and departmental software for research and information retrieval.
- Advanced experience with diagnostic computer systems.

Certifications or Licenses Required:
- A valid Commercial Driver's License (with appropriate endorsements) for New York State or the state of residence, which must be maintained throughout employment, or the ability to obtain said license per company policy.
