Role Summary

The Defense Group at Leidos is seeking a qualified individual for the position of King Air 350 Chief Pilot (PIC) to facilitate both domestic and international operations. The PIC will oversee contracted flight activities and is expected to uphold our rigorous standards of aviator expertise, safety, professionalism, and client service. Candidates may need to adapt to challenging working conditions. In this capacity, the PIC will manage all flight operational responsibilities for the King Air 350 aircraft, including flight planning and pre- and post-flight operations as directed by the Site Operations Manager (SOM) and the Leidos Program Chief Pilot. The PIC will operate the aircraft in compliance with relevant regulations and corporate policies.

Educational Background

• BA/BS Degree with a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience. Additional experience may substitute for formal education.

FAA Qualifications

• 1,500 hours of total PIC flight time.
• 300 hours of PIC time in a Super King Air 350 or a comparable aircraft.
• Must hold a current FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
• Must possess at least an FAA Commercial Airplane and Airplane Airman Certificate, along with Multiengine Land and Instrument Airplane Airman Certificate.
• Experience with Proline 21 systems.
• Familiarity with Garmin G1000 systems.

General Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Minimum age of 21 years.
• Must have a valid passport.
• Must possess a valid state driver's license.
• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
• Must hold an active DOD security clearance at the SECRET level or higher.
• Ability to meet all contractual and program training requirements, including DoD medical standards for international travel and COVID testing protocols.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2,500 hours of PIC flight time.
• 500 hours of Multiengine flight experience.
• 200 hours of actual Instrument flight time.
• 500 hours of Turbine flight time.
• Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certification.
• Rating maintained for the last two consecutive years.
• Previous experience as a U.S. Military, Customs, DEA Pilot, or US Contracting ISR Pilot.
• U.S. Military Standardization Instructor Pilot, Instructor Pilot, or Maintenance Pilot experience.
• Prior international rotation experience, especially in current operational areas.
• Active security clearance at the Top Secret level.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $101,000 to $183,300. This range serves as a general guideline and is not a guarantee of compensation. Factors influencing the offer include job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, and internal equity.
