New Season is seeking a highly skilled Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team. As a Substance Abuse Counselor, you will play a critical role in providing individual, group, and family counseling to patients struggling with addiction.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct intakes, admissions, discharges, and transfer paperwork for patients
- Document patient progress through counseling and interaction through groups
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
- Identify clinical/case management needs and work to address those needs
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling as required
- Perform at least twenty hours of direct one-on-one patient contact per week through individual and/or group counseling sessions
- Educate patients in all aspects of treatment, corresponding health issues, and steps to recovery
- Obtain Urine Drug Screens and initial patient photo identification
- Master's degree in Human Services or a related field
- Active LCSW, LPCC, LICDC, or LMFT licensure
- Experience in the substance abuse field preferred, but not required
