Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct substance abuse assessments and evaluations of clients participating with the Criminal Justice Services Department.
  • Provide individual and group substance abuse treatment, addressing clients' substance abuse and criminal behavior in a therapeutic setting.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans, collaborating with referring agencies and the treatment team.
  • Ensure accurate and timely record maintenance, adhering to program and oversight agency guidelines.
  • Coordinate and schedule educational and therapeutic services for program participants, responding to clients in mental health crisis and coordinating referrals to the local mental health system.
  • Assist in the development of program curriculums, conducting research on current and innovative practices used throughout the industry.
  • Collaborate with community treatment providers, Criminal Justice Services Case Managers, and Administrators to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements
  • Certified in the State of Colorado as a Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS) or ability to obtain CAS within six months of employment.
  • Bachelor's degree in social or behavioral sciences, education, or a related field.
  • Two years of corrections-related experience preferred.
  • Must successfully pass a background check, including fingerprinting.
  • Valid Colorado Driver's License.
Working Environment

This position requires standing, stooping, sitting, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 60 pounds. Occasional exposure to hazardous situations involving physically violent persons, interviewing mentally or emotionally disturbed persons, or bodily injury from biohazards, infections, or blood-borne pathogens. Irregular hours and shifts, including days, swings, graveyard shifts, weekends, and holidays.
