Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive engineering design and oversee project management for transmission lines (69kV - 500kV), sub-transmission lines (23kV - 34.5kV), and distribution line initiatives.
  • Participate in a variety of projects, including the establishment of new facilities, significant upgrades, rehabilitation, replacements, enhancements for clearance and lightning, and reconductoring of existing underground lines.
  • Assess and document project estimates, scopes, and timelines; evaluate design alternatives for technical viability; perform field inspections, validate electrical line assets, and ensure compliance with relevant codes and system specifications.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
  • Possession of a Professional Engineer license.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in underground transmission line, sub-transmission, and distribution engineering within the utilities sector.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Civil/Structural or Electrical Engineering or equivalent professional experience.

Benefits and Compensation:
  • This position offers an annual salary range of $110,000 to $150,000 and is classified as exempt.
  • Comprehensive benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) retirement plan with matching contributions.
  • Additional offerings encompass tuition reimbursement, voluntary life insurance, disability coverage, critical illness, accident, and hospitalization plans. Options for HSA or FSA medical accounts, as well as FSA dependent care and transportation/parking accounts, are also available.
