About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our Sensor Power and Analog Design (SPAD) Department at Raytheon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative power systems and analog circuits for our cutting-edge products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop power system designs, including power system noise, system simulation and modeling, solid state transmitters, and high voltage design.
  • Develop power conversion designs, including AC/DC, DC/DC, and DC/AC, linear and switching supplies, power factor correction, and zero voltage switching.
  • Design and develop power distribution systems, including ground, air, and shipboard power generation, line voltage, high current, low voltage, micro-power, DC, AC, and multi-phase power control.
  • Develop power sub-system designs, including filters, harmonic control, EMI, circuit simulation, magnetics, protective relay systems, short circuit and stress analyses.
  • Design and develop control systems, including servo control systems, motor/power/process control, digital feedback systems, command generation, inertial stabilization, and navigation algorithms.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major.
  • 8+ years of experience in power system design, power conversion, power distribution, power sub-system design, and/or control systems.
  • Experience in modeling and simulation using PSPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar computer-based tools.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major.
  • Hardware development experience in the Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead/manage a technical team.
  • Experience generating technical documentation and reports.
  • Knowledge of test and production methods for electronics/power system components.
  • Experience interfacing with procurement and manufacturing as well as external suppliers to ensure proper implementation of product designs.
  • Experience interfacing with DoD customer community.
  • Existing security clearance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
