Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Maintenance Lead Technician to join our team at Douglas County Government. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of maintenance personnel in the planning, organization, and execution of building maintenance and repair activities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial building maintenance, repair, and supervision, with a minimum of five years of experience in a similar role. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and a combination of education and experience may be considered.

The Building Maintenance Lead Technician will be responsible for:

  • Leading a team of maintenance personnel in the planning, organization, and execution of building maintenance and repair activities
  • Coordinating staff training and development programs
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of Facilities Safety and Security plans and Emergency Response Procedures
  • Conducting and/or coordinating orientation, training, and ongoing education programs for staff
  • Maintaining accurate and timely facility maintenance expenses and maintenance of management records and files
