Overview:

The Senior Solar Project Coordinator is a pivotal role focused on the management and execution of large-scale solar initiatives.



Key Responsibilities:


Client Engagement:
Ensures exceptional management and delivery of projects in alignment with client expectations.

Builds and sustains strong client relationships through effective communication and support.

Project Planning:
Oversees the project timeline and facilitates kick-off, progress, and closure meetings.

Secures necessary construction permits prior to project initiation.

Maintains and updates the project schedule from preconstruction through to completion.

Financial Management:
Allocates budget resources, tracks expenditures, and forecasts completion costs.

Contract Oversight:
Manages contracts and modifications, ensuring all project-related purchases are handled appropriately.

Maintains comprehensive knowledge of all contractual obligations and documentation of discrepancies.

Ensures that all project team members and subcontractors are informed of and comply with client contracts and agreements.
Team Leadership:
Assists in recruiting and onboarding top talent.

Guides and mentors discipline managers to ensure site operations are executed according to established protocols and quality standards.

Maintains clear communication lines on-site and ensures consistent implementation of processes.

Addresses variances with clients and upper management.

Supervises site personnel and fosters a culture of continuous improvement.

Creates and manages staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage during project execution.

Utilizes Safety Management Systems (SMS), Quality Management Systems (QMS), and Environmental Management Systems (EMS) to uphold standards.

Conducts audits to ensure compliance with established guidelines.

Work Environment:

Quality Assurance:
Implements a quality control program to ensure adherence to project specifications and standards.

Environmental Compliance:
Provides necessary documentation and resources for ongoing projects to monitor and uphold EMS standards.

Assists in obtaining all required permits before project commencement.

Ensures field staff receive appropriate training and maintain certifications in compliance with EMS requirements.

Regular attendance and punctuality are expected.

Adheres to company policies and participates in additional projects as assigned by management.

Safety Commitment:
Follows established safety protocols and takes appropriate actions to address unsafe conditions.

Promotes a safety-first culture, ensuring all team members adhere to safe working practices.

Reinforces safe behaviors and addresses any risky practices among team members.

Ensures all site personnel understand and follow standard operating procedures.

Leads the site team in technical, quality, and safety matters, utilizing existing systems effectively.

Leadership Development:
Encourages a workplace culture that emphasizes opportunity, trust, innovation, and exceeding expectations.

Manages direct reports and participates in the hiring process for team positions.

Maintains regular communication with team members regarding goals, achievements, and policy updates.

Demonstrates leadership and expertise in client interactions.

Conducts regular discussions on personal growth and empowers team members.

Completes timely performance evaluations in accordance with company guidelines.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management, or equivalent experience (8 years) is required.

Minimum of 5 years of project management experience is essential.

Preferred experience includes 4+ years in Solar EPC projects.

Willingness to travel 75-100% is necessary.

A valid driver's license is required.

Compensation:
Anticipated base salary range is $132,000 - $155,000, with final compensation based on education, qualifications, experience, and location. This position is eligible for bonuses.
