Preschool Program Director

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Trauma-Informed Preschool Teacher to join our team at the YWCA of New Britain Child Care Center. This is a full-time position that requires a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, with a minimum of two years of experience in a NAEYC accredited preschool program.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a trauma-informed preschool program that promotes social-emotional learning and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Foster strong relationships with children, parents, and staff, promoting a sense of community and respect for individual differences.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement curriculum that integrates across all domains of development, including social-emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development.
- Provide coaching and guidance to staff members on trauma-informed practices and developmentally appropriate care.
- Participate in regular training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in areas such as child development, trauma-informed care, and cultural responsiveness.
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
- Minimum two years of experience in a NAEYC accredited preschool program.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proven track record of promoting trauma-informed practices in a child-centered environment.
The salary for this position is estimated to be around $55,000 per year, depending on experience. The YWCA of New Britain Child Care Center offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, life insurance, retirement fund, and generous paid time off.
