Job Description

HealthPartners North Suburban Family Physicians is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team. This part-time opportunity will be based at our Lino Lakes clinic, with potential for coverage at our Hugo and Roseville clinics.

This position is eligible for a $1,000 hiring bonus. The schedule for this role is as follows:

  • Monday: 7am - 12pm
  • Tuesday: 6:45am - 4:30pm
  • Wednesday: 8:45am - 6:15pm
  • Friday: 7:45am - 5pm

The Medical Assistant at North Suburban Family Physicians is responsible for a variety of duties, including:

Key Responsibilities
  • Performing functions that support/provide patient care, including rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and administering medication and clinical procedures.
  • Preparing charts and station records, including checking MSRs for completion and routing them appropriately.
  • Facilitating timely and accurate flow of communication within the clinic/location, including receiving and relaying messages and test results.
  • Assisting with coordination of urgent and non-urgent provider schedule changes to ensure patient and provider needs are met.
  • Cleaning and sterilizing procedures to support infection control and OSHA standards.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program and current LPN license in Minnesota (for LPN)
  • Graduate of an accredited MA program or EMT program and current EMT license (for MA)
  • Graduate of an accredited MA program and current Registration through AAMA or AMT (for RMA)
  • Current Medical Assistant Certification through AAMA or AMT (for CMA)
Preferred Requirements
  • Current Medical Assistant Certification or Registration through AAMA or AMT
  • At least six months recent experience in a direct patient care setting
