Job Summary:

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for providing personal care, selected treatment procedures, and minimal household tasks under the advisory of a Registered Nurse. This role requires a caring and compassionate individual who can assume the responsibilities of this position and communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform personal care tasks, including assistance with basic hygiene, feeding, ambulation, medical monitoring, and health care-related tasks.
  • Perform home management functions, such as light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, and cleaning.
  • Plan meals, shop for groceries, prepare and serve meals, and clean up.
  • Communicate verbally with clients, family members, and healthcare staff in a professional manner.
  • Ensure client safety while maintaining a safe environment.
  • Remind and assist clients with self-administration of medications (with proper training).
  • Encourage self-help activities.
  • Report and document services provided and changes in client condition or family situation to the office.
Requirements:
  • 18 years of age or older with a high school degree or equivalent.
  • Completion of the company's competency testing for HHA.
  • Valid CNA certification in MN.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Acceptable MVR.
Preferred:
  • Minimum of one year of Home Health Care experience or LTC experience.
