Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at HealthPartners. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment.
  • Assist healthcare providers with medical procedures, taking vital signs, and recording patient information.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure timely and efficient patient care.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and processing medical records.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; LPN or MA certification preferred.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification required within 90 days of hire.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
  • Physical stamina to perform duties that require standing, walking, and lifting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least six months of experience in a direct patient care setting.
  • Medical Assistant certification or registration through AAMA or AMT.
  • Computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records.
