Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Respiratory Therapy Supervisor to join our team at Medical City Arlington. As a key member of our Cardio Pulmonary Department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our respiratory therapy team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the respiratory therapy team, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Oversee daily shift operations, ensuring that all patients receive timely and effective respiratory care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation, including patient charts and inventory management.
  • Develop and implement educational programs for staff, patients, and families, promoting health literacy and patient empowerment.
  • Assess, plan, evaluate, coordinate, and provide quality care to patients in the Cardio Pulmonary Department.
  • Perform all procedures as ordered by physicians, maintaining patient records and log books, and correlating charges with procedures.
  • Assist the department director in maintaining inventory levels, implementing quality improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Represent the department at interdepartmental meetings, promoting collaboration and communication.
Requirements
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 60 months of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Neonate Resuscitation certification.
  • RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT/RCP) or State Registered Respiratory Therapist (SRRT) certification.
