About the Role

Bilfinger Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for identifying and leading the pursuit of business growth opportunities in the Pulp & Paper industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform market research and analysis to identify business opportunities and evaluate their potential for growth.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients and identify new business opportunities through routine client engagement and market research.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to grow revenue for the company and serve as a liaison with internal counterparts on cross-business unit opportunities.
  • Support the marketing lead in developing client-specific annual event planning, including priority industry networking and conference events.
  • Assist with business development and marketing planning to align with the annual budget and ensure plans are in place to meet operational goals.
  • Lead the sales force-related functions, including entering individual sales leads and producing sales reports into company booking software (Salesforce).
  • Research and report on industry, competitor, and client data to inform business development strategies.
  • Facilitate the development of presentations and other marketing materials for target customers and lead the process to deliver key value-proposition points.
  • Support the proposal and operations team in developing proposals, qualifications, or other requests specific to their targeted client base.
  • Collaborate with other departments and global networking groups to help differentiate Bilfinger and develop strategic perspectives on new markets or technologies.
  • Assist management with ad-hoc requests, including special projects and initiatives.
  • Assist with the preparation of management reports and observe and comply with all safety rules.
Requirements
  • Maintain a strong base of customer relationships in the Southeast region.
  • Minimum 5-7 years' experience in fabric maintenance, mechanical maintenance, and construction services.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years' experience with contract negotiation, management, and long-term service agreements.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to work independently and as a team to meet quick deadlines and objectives.
  • Ability to travel routinely via airplane and/or vehicle and often times for consecutive days.
  • Required to lead the process of developing customer presentations and develop the value-added proposition to effectively pursue RFP/RFQ to award.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of construction and maintenance services provided in the oil and gas and/or chemical industry.
  • Proficient in the use of Salesforce and IIR to develop client outreach and business plans stemming from data in this network.
  • Demonstrated skill in the development of business proposals.
  • Working knowledge of various contract and commercial proposal structures.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate with customers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Working experience using SAP, Salesforce, Power BI, and IIR.
