Job Title: AVP-Business Development

At Crawford & Company, we're seeking an experienced AVP-Business Development professional to lead our business development efforts and drive growth strategies for our Business Unit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to drive top-line revenue growth and expand our market presence.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to refine best practices, identify growth opportunities, and develop strategic partnerships.
  • Mentor junior team members on business development strategies, market entry, and product knowledge.
  • Negotiate complex deals and provide client and internal training on new processes and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor analysis, and regulatory specifications to identify target markets.
  • Develop and maintain key competitor SWOT analyses and provide insights to inform business decisions.
  • Work closely with Field Operations to ensure product offerings and solutions meet client needs.
  • Collaborate with Client Account Managers to ensure SLAs are met and develop revenue growth strategies.
  • Work with leadership to develop pricing models and methodologies that remain competitive in the market.
  • Conduct analysis of budgeted to actual results and monitor actual versus budget to identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain funnel, dashboards, and operational reports to track business performance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, insurance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in business development or sales, with a strong track record of driving growth and expanding market presence.
  • Excellent client service skills, with experience working collaboratively and consultatively with clients.
  • Ability to create and manage effective relationships with cross-functional partners at various levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes of problems and create new solutions.
  • Ability to make practical, realistic, and timely decisions after considering facts, available resources, and potential risks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with various groups and stakeholders.
