Job Summary

This position performs complex consultative services and technical assistance work, supporting the planning, development, and implementation of local, regional, and state emergency management activities and programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides planning, design, and development, coordination, and evaluation of emergency management preparedness activities and exercises.
  • Coordinates the design and development of a comprehensive regional or state-wide exercise program for TDEM regions and local jurisdictions.
  • Provides consultative services and technical assistance to local jurisdictions and state agencies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three (3) years of related experience in exercise design, development, coordination, and evaluation; facilitation of meetings and presenting information; developing data collection processes; writing exercise documentation and proposals.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master Exercise Practitioner Program (MEPP) certification.
  • Major or coursework emphasis in emergency management, emergency planning, or public administration is preferred.
Salary Information:

The estimated salary for this position is $57,762.80 per annum, based on a monthly rate of $5,776.27.
