Quality Control Specialist

Location: Cleveland, OH
Responsibilities:
- Conduct quality control tests on production batches using established procedures.
- Identify and address quality issues in both in-spec and out-of-spec data.
- Interpret test results and historical data to ensure products meet customer quality requirements.
- Provide instructions to production personnel for necessary batch adjustments.
- Ensure all tests are completed and results meet specifications before proceeding to the next production process.
- Enter batch data into the electronic batch records system.
- Generate necessary paperwork in accordance with customer specifications.
- Collect and send customer samples as required.
- Utilize computer systems for effective testing of products.
- Determine the disposition of non-compliant finished goods.
- Place non-conforming material on hold as needed.
- Support ISO Management Systems and Safety Systems.
- Maintain inventory of lab supplies.
- Identify and communicate product issues to other departments.
- Create, maintain, and update standard operating procedures for the Quality Department to meet ISO requirements.
- Assist in the training of other lab technicians as needed.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least one (1) year of experience working in a quality control laboratory.
- At least one (1) year of experience working in a manufacturing or distribution facility.
- Associate Degree or higher in Chemistry.
