Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Thermal Equipment Installation Specialist to join our team at Andritz. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for the installation, startup, and process performance optimization of our thermal drying equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify the proper installation of Andritz supplied equipment
  • Write detailed reports outlining situations occurring at the job site
  • Perform mechanical and electrical checkout of Andritz supplied equipment
  • Optimize process performance prior to performance testing
  • Demonstrate performance based on customer specifications
  • Maintain a good understanding of electrical and pneumatic controls and problem resolution at site
  • Promote and further Andritz's goals through the development of good customer relationships and recognized professionalism
  • Stay current on all OSHA training and wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) as required for each specific job site

Requirements:

  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Process knowledge of different Andritz manufactured equipment
  • Experience at reading basic engineering drawings

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Electromechanical Technology degree or trade school
  • PLC programming experience and knowledge

Working Conditions:

  • The physical demands of this position require the ability to walk, sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Must be physically able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds, and have the dexterity to bend and stoop for long periods of time
  • Must be able to climb ladders and maintain balance on catwalks and platforms

Relationships:

Interfaces with Clients, Service Manager, Engineering, and Andritz Representatives. Maintain a professional and courteous manner during the performance of all duties with both internal employees and customers
