Job Summary

As a Biomed Technician II at Texas Health Resources, you will be responsible for performing performance assurance inspections, scheduled maintenance, electrical safety inspections, and operation verification procedures on complex biomedical equipment. You will also repair, install, and calibrate biomedical equipment, and maintain a high level of expertise through ongoing training and education.

Key Responsibilities

* Perform performance assurance inspections, scheduled maintenance, electrical safety inspections, and operation verification procedures on complex biomedical equipment
* Repair, install, and calibrate biomedical equipment
* Maintain a high level of expertise through ongoing training and education
* Work with, direct, and document the activities of subcontractors, vendors, and outside service technicians to ensure proper service delivery

Requirements

* Associate's degree in a related field or 2 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
* 3 years of related work experience (preferably in a hospital setting) with an Associate's degree or a BMET
* Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
* Completion of Network + Foundation Course within 2 years
* IT-ILC - IT Infrastructure Library Certification within 2 years
* Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET), Certified Laboratory Equipment Specialist (CLES), or Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist (CRES) certification
