Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Specialist to join our team at Ascension Seton in Austin, Texas. As a leading healthcare provider, we offer a dynamic and supportive environment that fosters professional growth and development.


About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and contribute to delivering high-quality respiratory care services. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive evaluation and treatment of patients with respiratory insufficiencies.


Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop a plan of care based on diagnosis.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans and equipment, while monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition.
  • Evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families about health conditions and provide information about community support groups and other available programs.
  • Respond to emergency resuscitation teams as required.

Requirements
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Respiratory Care Practitioners Certification Program obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $62,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
