Cardiopulmonary Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist RRT to join our team at St. David's North Austin Medical Center in Texas. As a cardiopulmonary specialist, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiopulmonary diseases on patients of all ages.

About the Role

You will be responsible for performing basic respiratory equipment maintenance, quality control measures, and other administrative or technical tasks as part of the patient-focused care team. Your duties will include:

  • Setting up and operating various types of respiratory care equipment
  • Performing a range of technical procedures related to cardiopulmonary hemodynamics
  • Demonstrating competency in proper airway care
  • Assessing patients appropriately, interpreting results accurately, and suggesting alternative respiratory treatment

In this role, you will also communicate regularly with physicians and nurses about patient care plans and updates.

Requirements

To be successful in this position, you should have:

  • A Graduate of an American Medical Association accredited Respiratory Therapy program
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist credential by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Current Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner license
  • Current certification as Basic Life Support (BLS) provider
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required for NICU RRT Staff
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required for ICU RRT staff
