About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Care Dynamics, LLC in Austin, TX. This is a contract role that requires a 12-hour shift, three days per week, with night shifts from 18:30 to 07:00, totaling 36 hours weekly.

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced clinical environment, providing high-quality care to patients in the Respiratory Care Department. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in pediatric ICU, neonatal ICU, or pedi-cardiac ICU environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients to determine appropriate treatment types and frequency, developing a personalized care plan based on diagnosis.
  • Implement, monitor, and adjust respiratory care plans and equipment as necessary.
  • Record and communicate patient conditions effectively within the care team.
  • Perform advanced respiratory care modalities.
  • Administer medications and treatments, evaluating patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and their families about respiratory conditions and connect them with available community support resources.
  • Respond to emergency resuscitation codes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric ICU, neonatal ICU, or pedi-cardiac ICU.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • Must be a Green Card holder or US Citizen.
  • Ability to provide two professional references.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive non-local hourly pay of $40.39/hr (inclusive of a taxable component and per diem).
  • Local pay rates of $32.19/hr for candidates living within 75 miles.
