  • Job Responsibilities
  • Transfers
    • Safely drive company-owned professional vehicles to perform transfers in accordance with local and state/provincial laws and company policies. Follow procedures for chain-of-custody, paperwork, and deceased identification.
    • Cooperate with first responders, coroners, hospitals, and senior living facilities to accommodate their processes and procedures.
    • Interact with bereaved family members, exhibiting sensitivity to their environment, and minimize conversation.
    • Enter deceased event information into proprietary software according to company procedures.
    • Transport caskets to airports, care centers, or funeral homes and assist with moving caskets.
    • Vehicle Maintenance
      • Wash, vacuum, and clean vehicles to ensure they are presentable.
      • Fuel vehicles as needed.
      • Follow safety guidelines and expenditure processes.
      • Maintain personal protective and transfer supplies in vehicles, including cleaning products.
      • Identify vehicle engine or operating issues to management and drive vehicles for repair or inspection.
    • Requirements
    • Education
      • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Licenses
      • Current state/province-issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
    • Experience
      • At least one (1) year of work experience as a courier or driver with direct customer interaction preferred.
    • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
      • Ability to work a schedule that supports business needs, including weekends and nights.
      • Ability to work on-call weekends, nights, and holidays rotation.
      • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and push/pull up to 200 pounds.
      • Ability to drive in hazardous, heavy traffic, and weather conditions.
      • Basic computer skills required.
    • Work Conditions
    • Work indoors and outdoors during all seasons and weather conditions.
    • Local and/or multiple location traveling required.
    • Comply with Field dress code policy.
    • Work Postures
      • Frequent, continuous periods of time standing, up to 6 hours per day.
      • Climbing stairs to access buildings frequently.
    • Physical Demands
      • Physical effort requiring manual dexterity is required, including paperwork, calculators, computers, and phone usage.
      • Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 75 pounds.
    • Compensation
    • Salary: $19.00/hr.
    • Part-time associates working an average 20 hours a week may be eligible for 401(k).
