Mental Health Support Specialist

At the Gandara Mental Health Center, Inc., we are seeking a skilled Residential Counselor I to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you can make a real difference in the lives of our clients. As a Residential Counselor I, you will be responsible for providing individualized support and care to our residents, promoting their independence, dignity, and well-being.
Duties and Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our clients.
- Provide direct care and support to residents, including assistance with daily living activities, medication management, and behavioral interventions.
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify client needs and develop strategies for improvement.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of client progress and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
- Promote a safe and respectful environment, addressing any concerns or incidents promptly and professionally.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
- Minimum one year of experience working with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
- Valid driver's license and safe driving history required.
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) highly desirable.
We offer a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per annum, based on experience.
