Position Overview: Stormwater and Floodplain Engineering

This role involves overseeing and executing a variety of engineering tasks related to stormwater management and floodplain analysis. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Planning, designing, and assessing numerous stormwater projects
  • Managing stormwater and floodplain initiatives through all project phases
  • Conducting detailed hydrologic and hydraulic evaluations
  • Investigating and addressing stormwater and floodplain challenges
  • Providing expert analysis and documentation to both technical and professional audiences

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administering and negotiating engineering contracts
  • Assessing floodplain concerns during the planning and construction stages
  • Delivering expert testimony as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license for Civil Engineering
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification for recent graduates
  • Preferred: TFMA Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) designation
  • Valid Class C Driver's License
  • Successful completion of pre-employment evaluations
