Job Summary:
As a Graduate Engineer with the City of Arlington, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and implementation of the Water Utilities Department's infrastructure Asset Management Program. This program aims to ensure the efficient management of the city's water and sewer infrastructure, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and implementation of the Asset Management Program, ensuring compliance with industry-established principles, methodologies, and standards.
- Provide technical assistance with the implementation and maintenance of established standards, systems, and procedures, including asset reliability, risk reduction, resource optimization, and maintenance of asset inventories.
- Support asset management projects, including small diameter sanitary sewer CCTV assessment projects, large diameter sanitary sewer multi-sensor instrument assessment projects, and large diameter water electromagnetic assessment projects.
- Utilize asset condition and performance data to prepare data-driven renewal recommendations and projections for proposed capital projects.
- Review, interpret, and evaluate engineering drawings, studies, specifications, models, estimates, and other technical documents.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in civil engineering from an EAC/ABET accredited program and capable of obtaining Professional Engineer License in Texas upon completion of required engineering experience.
- Engineering-in-Training certification or ability to obtain within 1 year.
- Possession of a valid Texas Driver's License (min. Class C).
