About the Role

The Centralized Data and Insights Team (CDI) at Amazon is seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Engineer to join our team. As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable reporting solutions that meet the needs of our cloud sales organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement data pipelines from disparate sources to ingest, transform, and store data in a scalable format.
  • Gather and understand data requirements, working with cross-functional teams to achieve high-quality and scalable data solutions.
  • Dive deep into requirements to unearth optimal reporting design and drive constructive technical discussions.
  • Build end-to-end BI solutions, including determining lineage and creating interactive data visuals.

About the Team

The CDI Team is a BI Team within the Partner Intelligence Organization, consisting of Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Business Analysts, Product Managers, and Technical Program/Product Managers. We are chartered to establish long-term reporting solutions, operational frameworks, and business insights for the AWS Partner Organization.

As a member of this team, you will be challenged to innovate and use the latest big data techniques. Basic Qualifications

2+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc. experience

Experience with one or more analytics visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI)

Experience with data querying or modeling with SQL

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree, or Advanced technical degree

Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design

Experience with statistical analysis, co-relation analysis

Compensation

The base pay for this position ranges from $74,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $165,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
