Position Overview:

This role is focused on the upkeep and repair of pipelines and associated equipment, ensuring the efficient operation of gas and liquid facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct inspections, maintenance, and operation of facilities including pipelines, valves, filters, pumps, gas compressors, storage tanks, and pump station equipment, adhering to established procedures and regulatory standards.
  • Engage in Damage Prevention initiatives, including pipeline patrols, one-calls, and inspections of line crossings and excavations.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements and complete necessary documentation (OSHA, DOT, EPA, etc.).
  • Organize and prioritize responsibilities while coordinating efforts with team members and contractors.
  • Communicate effectively with external parties such as landowners, public agencies, contractors, utilities, and other pipeline operators.
  • Actively participate in safety programs and uphold safety policies and procedures.
  • Provide on-call support for designated areas on a rotating schedule.
  • Implement energy isolation lockout/tagout procedures (LOTO).
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
Experience Levels:
  • Level C: 0 - 2 years of relevant industry experience or equivalent.
  • Level B: 2 - 4 years of relevant industry experience or equivalent.
  • Level A: 4+ years of relevant industry experience or equivalent.
Qualifications:
  • Valid driver's license with a proven safe driving record.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of effective teamwork.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and make sound judgments.
Preferred Skills:
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn and perform operational and maintenance tasks related to various facilities and equipment.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office (Excel and Outlook), as well as other work-related software.
Working Conditions:
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat and cold.
  • Work in industrial and construction environments, which may involve hazardous materials and require personal protective equipment.
  • Frequent heavy lifting may be necessary.
  • Availability for call-outs to address operational issues outside of regular hours.
  • Reliable attendance is essential.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
