Position Overview: As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for obtaining diagnostic information through the administration of radioactive materials and utilizing advanced imaging equipment. You will collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure exceptional patient care and efficient diagnostic procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Nuclear Medicine examinations following established protocols.
- Administer pharmaceutical-grade radioactive materials in compliance with regulations.
- Implement safety measures for radioactive materials to protect yourself, colleagues, and patients.
- Demonstrate proficiency with imaging equipment.
- Maintain accurate documentation of radioactive materials and procedures.
- Perform regular surveys of work areas and document findings.
- Adhere to infection control and radiation safety policies.
- Collaborate with the Radiation Safety Officer to uphold quality assurance standards.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
- Preferred: One year of experience as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
- State Registered Radiologic Technician or Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist.
- Certification from the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board or equivalent.
