JOB SUMMARY

The role involves coordinating activities with fellow manufacturing personnel to meet customer demands, including box build and/or coating, while strictly following safety, quality, and customer specifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

GENERAL DUTIES:

This position operates under close supervision, with frequent monitoring of output. The individual will follow primarily routine, standardized procedures to complete assigned tasks and may be exposed to more advanced functions as part of training and development.

The technician will select from a variety of established procedures to execute assigned duties and resolve routine inquiries and issues, escalating more complex matters to higher levels. Errors in this role can lead to minor delays, expenses, and disruptions.

The responsibilities include assembling finished products according to customer specifications and collaborating with team members to organize tasks that require multiple personnel to complete.

Utilization of manual and automated lifting devices is essential, adhering to product safety specifications. The technician will provide information and coordinate action plans during cross-functional meetings, communicating issues with team members and/or visitors to drive corrective actions.

Flexibility to work overtime is required, along with the ability to manage conflicting deadlines, shifting priorities, and continuous interruptions.

Responsibilities also include organizing and maintaining spare parts inventory, ordering spare parts as necessary to fulfill customer orders, and assisting in the organization of the workspace following 5S principles.

The technician will stay informed about spare parts inventory locations to facilitate order fulfillment and perform preventive maintenance on area tooling according to established schedules, ensuring compliance with audit requirements.

Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

COATING RESPONSIBILITIES (if applicable):

In the event that coating is part of the role, the following duties will apply:

- Execute manual conformal coating of products per required specifications.

- Prepare assemblies for automated coating processes and operate necessary equipment.

- Maintain spray equipment, including spray guns and booths.

- Ensure proper handling and marking of assemblies and components.

- Accurately maintain daily thickness logs and records in the Manufacturing Execution System (MES).

- Utilize barcode scanners and small hand tools effectively.

- Conduct visual inspections of assemblies for proper masking application and material placement.

- Work under the close supervision of the manufacturing supervisor or designated management personnel.

- Follow detailed written or verbal instructions, including visual aids.

- Ensure the assigned area is clean and organized according to 5S standards.

- Adhere to all safety and health regulations associated with this position as directed by the supervisor.

- Comply with all procedures outlined in the company security policy.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

The ideal candidate should possess the ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. They should be capable of defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.

Proficiency in operating a personal computer, including familiarity with Windows-based operating systems and related software, is essential. Advanced PC skills, including knowledge of relevant software packages, are preferred.

The candidate should be able to write simple correspondence and comprehend visual aids. Common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions is necessary, along with the ability to handle standardized situations with minimal variables.

Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in various units of measure, are required. The ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages, as well as to interpret graphs, is also essential.
