Director of Contracts

About the Role:
Bigge Crane and Rigging Co. is seeking a highly skilled Director of Contracts to lead our contracting effort within the Legal/Contracts and Risk Management Departments. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing contracts, negotiating with customers, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the contracting process from initial fact-checking to final approval.
- Review, analyze, and negotiate customer construction contracts, equipment rental agreements, and other documentation.
- Develop and implement contract management processes to optimize efficiencies.
- Supervise a team of contract administrators and provide guidance on contract administration.
- Work closely with General Counsel to ensure smooth implementation of contracts.
- Organize and conduct periodic contract performance and administrative compliance reviews.
Requirements:
- BA/BS required; JD preferred but not required if strong construction contracts background.
- 5+ years of experience in construction contract management, including analyzing and negotiating.
- Proven experience supervising teams of support staff at the manager level.
- Strong problem-solving skills, poise, and perseverance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
