Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Access Representative to join our team at ConnextCare. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Registration and Scheduling: Register patients for their scheduled appointments, collect and verify demographic and insurance information, and scan driver's license or photo ID and insurance card into our electronic medical record system.
  • Payment Collection: Collect payment portion of visit from patients, have them sign Patient Responsibility Agreement when needed, and distribute and secure signature for required consent forms.
  • Insurance Verification: Verify insurance eligibility and secure signature on appropriate insurance forms as needed.
  • Communication: Answer incoming phone calls, transfer patients' calls where needed, and schedule appointments as appropriate.
  • Administrative Tasks: Post charges on patient account, record all payments collected, close daily journal, and balance receipts to payments received.
  • Customer Service: Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with patients and coworkers, and ensure the waiting areas are neat and clean.
Requirements
  • Education: High school graduate or GED.
  • Skills: Verbal and written communication skills, office applications, and computer proficiency with Microsoft Suite and electronic medical record system.
  • Personal Qualities: Ability to work well in stressful situations, maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate proper judgment and decision-making skills.
Salary and Benefits

$15.25-$17.75 Depending on Experience
