To greet patients, visitors and representatives to the center, directing to appropriate office/destinationRegister patients for their scheduled appointments collecting and verifying demographic and insurance informationScan driver license or photo ID and insurance card into electronic medical record softwareCollect payment portion of visit the patient is financially responsible forTo have patient sign Patient Responsibility Agreement when neededDistribute and secure signature for required consent forms for treatment, offer Advanced Directives, Notice of Privacy Practices and Patient Bill of RightsVerify insurance eligibility and secure signature on appropriate insurance forms as neededInitiate encounter form for patients visitAnswer incoming phone calls, transfer patients calls where needed and schedule appointment as appropriatePost charges on patient account and record all payments collected on the designated formClose daily journal and balance receipts to payments receivedReconciliation of cash drawer/money bagScan all patient documents as instructedTake notice of excessive wait times and notify the Nurse ManagerNotify triage nurses of any emergencies or nurse related questions that patients have. To transport walk-ins/emergencies to appropriate areas if needed.Make certain the waiting areas are neat and cleanPrint schedules three days in advance.Must be flexible to organizational needs across the ConnextCare networkTo engage in Patient Centered Medical Home initiatives, including participating as part of the Clinical Care Team20. Other duties and responsibilities as requested by management and supervision.RequirementsHigh school graduate or GEDVerbal and written communication skills, office applications preferredDemonstrate proper judgment and decision making skills when necessaryComply with the organizations code of conduct, safety rules and adheres to all company policiesCarry out job responsibilities in an ethical, effective and professional mannerMust be willing and demonstrate the ability to cooperate, work, and communicate with coworkers and supervisorsMust demonstrate computer proficiency with Microsoft Suite and electronic medical record systemMust possess a willingness to accept direction from providers and supervisors; must possess the ability to work well and with compassion in stressful situations; must maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with both patients and co-workers; must be keenly aware of the importance of confidentiality in all aspects of the positionMust possess the ability to firmly pursue payments on accountMust be keenly aware of the importance of confidentiality in all aspects of the positionSalary Description $15.25-$17.75 Depending on Experience
