Position Overview: The Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP-R) is integral in delivering compassionate care to patients and their families, adhering to the highest standards of physical and emotional well-being. This role encompasses the provision of both basic and advanced respiratory care services to a diverse range of patient populations. The RCP-R is responsible for conducting thorough patient assessments, developing Respiratory Care Plans, and evaluating their effectiveness. Collaborating across all hospital departments, the RCP-R is expected to perform duties with minimal supervision, showcasing strong decision-making capabilities.
Essential Qualifications: Candidates must possess a valid license from the North Carolina Respiratory Care Board as a Respiratory Care Practitioner and be registered with the National Board for Respiratory Care. Additionally, current BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications are mandatory (or must be acquired within six months of employment). A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience is required. Applicants should demonstrate the ability to provide age-appropriate care, with an understanding of growth and development principles across the lifespan. Accurate interpretation of patient data to meet individual needs as outlined in departmental protocols is essential.
*THIS POSITION IS FOR A 13-WEEK CONTRACT ASSIGNMENT*
- Compensation: $60.00 per hour plus applicable shift differential
- Contract employees will be assigned to specific divisions. To qualify, candidates must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in the relevant specialty area.
- 36 hours per week/72 hours per pay period
- 12-hour shifts or hours designated by the unit
- Schedule based on unit requirements
- This is a temporary position and does not include benefits
- Hired for a 13-week contract with a maximum duration of 26 weeks
