Job Summary:
As a seasoned Dietitian Specialist 2-RD, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality nutrition care to patients. Collaborating with the healthcare team, you will conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments and implement evidence-based interventions. Your expertise will be invaluable in providing specialized nutrition education to patients and their families, as well as mentoring clinical dietitians and other healthcare team members. Additionally, you will participate in educating dietetic and medical students, and serve as a consultant for physicians. Your duties may include working in inpatient, outpatient, and/or clinic settings, participating in out-patient group nutrition classes, and fulfilling appointments when referrals are received.

Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or a related field is required. Two years of clinical nutrition experience are necessary, with one year in Pediatrics being preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:
You will possess a thorough knowledge of clinical nutrition in your area of specialty. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will work collaboratively with others and provide clear direction. Your ability to work calmly and courteously under pressure, display a positive and professional demeanor, and enforce Medical Center policies will be crucial. Fluency in English is required, with the ability to speak Spanish being desirable. You will also need to be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, make sound judgments, and prioritize your workload effectively.

Licensures and Certifications:
Certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (RD/RDN) is mandatory, and CCS Paneling is required within one year of hire date.
