Senior Construction Manager Required for Leading Multifamily Developer

About the Role:

The Senior Construction Manager will oversee all facets of the construction process for high-density, multi-family residential and mixed-use developments. This role is pivotal in ensuring that project objectives related to design, construction, and quality are met. The position will report directly to the Vice President and President of Construction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct project scheduling and manage contract negotiations.
  • Contribute to the planning phase by supplying budgetary information to property developers.
  • Create a list of potential contractors for assigned projects, evaluate bids, pre-qualify contractors, and award contracts to selected firms.
  • Ensure financial, budgetary, and forecasting targets are achieved.
  • Establish and oversee the construction timeline, tracking progress through site reports.
  • Conduct onsite inspections to verify compliance with standards and adherence to plans and specifications.
  • Align project costs with approved budgets, including the approval of contractor invoices and change order requests.
  • Guide projects to timely completion, ensuring they meet scope and budget expectations, and secure necessary occupancy certificates.
  • Act as a proactive liaison among various onsite teams, third-party groups, and corporate office departments, fostering effective communication among all stakeholders.
  • Recruit, manage, and lead an internal team of Project Engineers, Project Managers, and Superintendents.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 15+ years of experience in Construction or Civil Engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience in Residential Construction Project Management.
  • Field experience in podium/wrap construction.
  • Proficient in computer applications (Windows) and familiar with construction and project management software.
  • OSHA 30-hour Certification obtained within the last three years, along with current First Aid & CPR training certification.
