The Sustainability Manager will spearhead the development and execution of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy across North America. This pivotal role will focus on engaging both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring impactful initiatives are rolled out across our offices and terminals in the U.S. and Canada. The manager will act as the primary point of contact for local and regional partnerships with non-governmental organizations (NGOs), overseeing funding requests and creating support calendars for organizations aligned with our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project management for strategic partnerships and initiatives within the North American region.
  • Develop analytical business cases and briefings for both internal and external partnership proposals.
  • Plan, execute, and report on local sustainability actions and energy programs.
  • Enhance staff and customer engagement in local sustainability campaigns.
  • Organize the CSR Ambassador Program to foster community involvement.
  • Design and implement educational campaigns and events for all employees.
  • Establish mechanisms to capture CSR engagement data and prepare regular reports.
  • Maintain and monitor sustainability systems and dashboards to ensure service-level goals are met.
  • Undertake miscellaneous duties or projects as assigned.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • In-depth understanding of sustainable development within the maritime sector.
  • Familiarity with the Supply Chain Transportation industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the sustainability objectives of CMA CGM.
  • Experience working with NGOs in the U.S. and Canada.
  • 5-10 years of general experience, with 3-5 years in the industry.
  • Proven project management capabilities.

  • Exceptional communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
